Racing Dreamz is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Mountain City, Tennessee, dedicated to helping Veterans and First Responders find peace, purpose, and joy behind the wheel. We use specially designed single-seat crosskarts and off-road trails as a form of therapy for those who carry the weight of trauma, stress, and burnout from serving others.

These men and women are often the first to step into danger and the last to ask for help. Racing Dreamz gives them a safe, supportive place to breathe again.




What We Do:

We are building a dedicated off-road therapy facility with crosskart trails, staging areas, and support spaces where Veterans and First Responders can participate in guided driving sessions. With safety as our first priority, participants drive or ride in crosskarts on controlled routes that help them decompress, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with the simple joy of motion.

Why It Matters:

Suicide, burnout, and untreated trauma continue to affect the Veteran and First Responder community at alarming rates. Too many heroes suffer in silence. Racing Dreamz exists to give them a place where they can laugh, focus, and feel alive again—while knowing they are supported and not alone.

Racing Dreams



Racing Dreamz exists to serve those who serve us. Our mission is to provide a safe, structured motorsport environment where Veterans and First Responders—especially Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement personnel—can experience relief from stress, trauma, and burnout through crosskart-based therapy.



The Problem



Veterans and First Responders face repeated exposure to trauma, life-or-death decisions, and high-pressure situations. Over time, this can lead to PTSD, anxiety, depression, occupational burnout, and tragically, suicide. Rural communities like ours often have even fewer resources for recovery and support.



Our Response



Racing Dreamz offers a unique, non-clinical program combining off-road driving, nature, and peer support. We are developing a dedicated facility where: *Participants can drive or ride in crosskarts

*Sessions follow strict safety standards

*Veterans and First Responders can connect with others who understand their experiences

*The focus is on joy, skill-building, and mental reset

Our long-term goal is to operate a sustainable program that:

*Runs multiple days each week *Offers no-cost or low-cost sessions for agency personnel

*Expands to additional locations *Adapts vehicles for people with mobility limitations

*Becomes a trusted mental wellness resource for agencies nationwide



How the Racing Dreamz Program Works



Our program is designed to be welcoming, structured, and safe. Each session follows a clear process so participants know what to expect and can focus on the experience—not the logistics.



Step 1 — Agency Partnership & Referral


We work directly with Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Veteran organizations. Agencies can: Refer individual participants Schedule group days Coordinate team-building or post-critical-incident sessions





Step 2 — Orientation & Safety Briefing


Upon arrival, participants receive:

*A friendly welcome

*Full safety briefing

*Helmet and gear fitting

*Time for questions

No one is rushed, and driving is never mandatory.


Step 3 — Tiered Driving Experience


*Level 1 – Ride-Along & Familiarization Slow-speed ride-alongs or basic driving on gentle terrain to build comfort and confidence.

*Level 2 – Guided Driving Sessions Participants take the wheel on our off-road trails under supervision, learning skills like braking, cornering, and safe vehicle control.

*Level 3 – Advanced Sessions (Future Phase) Higher-performance sessions for experienced and cleared participants, always within strict safety limits.


Adapted Equipment (Future Development)

As funding allows, we will develop crosskarts with: Hand controls for those with limited leg use Modified steering and braking for limited arm or grip strength Accessibility upgrades so no one is left out

*Areas for conversation, peer support, and connection

*Family viewing days and community events

We are not a clinical program, but we are a powerful supplement to mental health support systems.

Racing Dreamz is dedicated to helping those who run toward danger when others are running away. Our program serves:



Veterans

*Men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces—recent or retired—often carry unseen wounds. We give them a place to reconnect with camaraderie and the joy of controlled adrenaline in a safe, supportive environment.





Firefighters

*Firefighters face extreme physical and emotional challenges. We offer an escape from the pressure—a chance to breathe deeply and enjoy a positive, skill-focused experience.


EMS & Paramedics

*EMS professionals carry the weight of countless emergency scenes. Racing Dreamz gives them a healthy outlet to decompress and reset.


Law Enforcement & Sheriff’s Deputies

*Officers and deputies make split-second decisions every day. Our program gives them a safe place to shift out of constant vigilance and into fun, focus, and flow.


911 Dispatchers & Other First Responders

*The voices behind the radio hear everything yet see nothing. Their stress is real, and they are welcome here.

Ben Jones



Founder/Chairman



L4 1/2 yrs in U.S.A.F Stationed as Medic at the MacDill AFB Hospital. Duty station was in the Resource Management Office (budget) which also served at the Command Post for the Medical Squadron. Achievements: Signed letter from Pres. Jimmy Carter for saving the AF hundreds of thousand of dollars. Transportation Industry: From billing to interim terminal manager. 16 1/2 years experience in the operations and management Consultant: to Papa Johns Pizza, Knoxville TN. Helped establish customer base. Technical Help Desk for 2 separate internet service providers. Both dial up and DSL. From this, he gathered a team to build their own internet service. Owned and Operated: several small businesses from Lawn Care, Off Road Buggy Dealership, and fuel additive business with distributors in the US, Australia and Taiwan. Host: of Bedo's Buggy Talk radio program- 30 live shows with over 25,000 listeners. Co-authored: the Childrens book - The Adventures of Rodeo Duck
